Falling trilogy

The falling trilogy is the first project of mono collective. The word “falling” contains a series of imagery that refers to actual falls due to the factor of gravity; at the same time “falling” as a word can also be used metaphorically.

Mono decided to unify metaphors and actual meanings. Realizing that when someone falls apart, in love or even asleep, the surrendering to gravity transforms into a surrendering of the ego – Mono collective wanted to overcome the fear of falling and just experience the feeling of it.

Entre Temps 2

This piece is the choreography of Khouloud Yassine. I had the honour to work togther with her at Dansmakers Amsterdam on her Extra Time performance in 2011.The year after we worked on Entre Temps 2 in Theater Monnot in Beirut.
Khouloud is working based on rythmic subdivisions, and in this performance she shows in how many ways her body relates to music and how it becomes an instrument on stage.

Performance giving dramaturgy and identity to space with the use of light in different sfumato stages, and by it creating a memory in space. Using sequences by overhead-and videoprojection, that fixate the memory in order to ignore reality and the rest of the sequence.

Drop, Yet Sea

This piece is meant to create conversation between the personal point of view and the opinion formed as a society.

As light is effecting differently accompanied or opposed by other lights, so does the individual opinion-forming in reflexion of more different morals. (An expression that well captures it in Hungarian language to picture something in a different light, means to show another point of view on a phenomenon). Opinion of the individual accompanied can grade polarised, radicalised, or even antagonistic.
